Prone to staying up late; after purchase, playing this atmospheric wonder deep into the night; this whilst reading Gene Tierney's, Self Portrait; realizing the ephemeral nature of our lives; no escaping the vicissitudes of The Wheel. Raum Kingdom are nearly the best at what they do, and for what it is worth, I much prefer them to other similar but more popular bands such as Cult of Luna and their ilk. This comes down to the simple fact that while some of Raum Kingdom’s peers might be a bit more polished or technically proficient, virtually none of them can match the emotional intensity and overwhelming weight of these Irish masters’ compositions. All-consuming, and painful, and beautiful. Ippocalyptica
